There are many ways to call Lawrence "Larry" Jones…public safety officer, police officer, Officer Friendly, fire fighter, athlete, coach, mentor, father, husband, friend, and Poppy as he was known to his grandchildren. These are some of the many aspects of who he was that students, staff and LJMS families will learn about him.
Carrying On The Work He Started
Lawrence E Jones Middle School staff, students and families want to know who he was when he walked among us so that each one of us can learn to carry on the work he started. It is our mission to embody the values of giving service to others, having integrity by showing courage and compassion, learning from one's mistakes and making better choices, persevering when times are bleak, finding joy and laughter each day and doing the little things that can make a big difference in someone's life. These are the characteristics that students and adults alike will strive to attain the LJ Way.
